EM stands for Effective Microorganisms, which is a liquid bacterial product made up of three groups of microbes: yeast, photosynthetic bacteria, and lactic acid bacteria. EM ceramic tubes are made by fermenting a special clay with approximately 80 different microorganisms and then baked. The beads are baked at 1200 C, during which the structure of the clay changes, trapping the EM. As a result, these beads have their own particular wavelength. These beneficial microbes create a synergy among microorganisms and larger forms of life including insects, pets, livestock etc. EM ceramics emit far infrared waves all the time and are stimulated to do this by sunlight, heat, movement etc. The tick is then discouraged from attaching itself to the dog and goes in search of a more appealing host.
